Who we are

Tutor 2Gether’s Origins

Founded by Liam Short and Jason Kintzele Tutor 2Gether was born with a mission: to help students thrive in any subject, no matter their challenges. Having faced our own academic struggles, we understand that not all teaching methods work for every student. That’s why we emphasize personalized, student-to-student tutoring lessons, which we hope will benefit both the student and the tutor.

Beyond academics, we aim to foster a supportive community where students can connect over shared interests, hobbies, and experiences.

I’m a senior at Saint Joseph High School and plan to attend the University of Dayton. I’ve found that learning from fellow students has helped me retain information better, and it often benefits the tutor as well. My goal is to help my classmates and younger students succeed in their classes, both at my high school and beyond. This tutoring initiative is an important step toward making that vision a reality.

I’m a senior at Penn High School and plan on attending Indiana University of Bloomington. Learning and retaining knowledge was a struggle for me growing up, I found myself bored over the rambling voices of monotone teachers and non-interactive lesson plans. I eventually realized I learn much better from my peers, this discovery led me to the idea that has become Tutor 2Gether, Jason and I’s dream is to provide struggling students with bright upperclassmen mentors who can serve as role models and teachers for younger generations to come.
